Homyze Ltd (we) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

SCOPE OF POLICY

This policy (together with our Work Request Terms of Use) applies to your use of:

• The Homyze mobile application software (App) hosted on Google Play and the Apple App Store, once you have downloaded or streamed a copy of the App onto your mobile telephone or handheld device (Device).
• Any of the services accessible through the App or any Homyze website (Site) (together, the Services).
• This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how We will treat it. References in this Policy to a ‘Pro’ is to a tradesperson or other service provider promoting its services by means of the Services.
• For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998, the data controller is Homyze Ltd of 309 Westbourne Studios 242 Acklam Road, London, W10 5JJ.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

We may collect, use and are responsible for personal information about you. In doing so, we are regulated under the Data Protection Act 1998 and any replacement legislation, and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). The Data Protection Laws apply across the European Union (including in the United Kingdom) and we are responsible as controller of that personal information for the purposes of those Laws.
The information we gather about you helps us personalise and continually improve your experience. The following data may be collected about you:

• Information you give us (Submitted information): You may give us information about you by filling in forms on the App and the Site, or by corresponding with us (for example, by e-mail or chat). This includes information you provide when you register to use the App or the Site, download or register an App, subscribe to any of our Services, search for a Pro, post a request for quotes from Pros, and when you report a problem with an App, our Services, or any of our Sites. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, log-in and password details, the Device's phone number, age, username, password and other registration information, personal description and photograph, and details of the project you ask for a Pro to quote for (or if you are a Pro, details of your quotes for work). We will also keep a record of all messages sent between Pros and Work Requesters by means of the Homyze service. Please note that it is possible to authorise another individual to operate and manage your account on your behalf. However, if you have such an arrangement in place, you still remain primarily responsible for the use of your account, and any liability that may arise in connection with that use, including for any and all payments due under it or claims brought against you in respect of that use.
• Information we collect about you and your device. Each time you visit one of our Sites or use one of our Apps we may automatically collect the following information: technical information, including the type of mobile device you use, a unique device identifier (for example, your Device's IMEI number, the MAC address of the Device's wireless network interface, or the mobile phone number used by the Device), mobile network information, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile browser you use, time zone setting (Device Information); if not included, Mobile OS version and the App version
• Homyze also receives and may store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many websites, we use “cookies”, and obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses our Website or advertisements and other content served by or on behalf of Homyze on other websites.
• If you are a Pro on our service: your location, details of your use of any of our Apps or your visits to any of Our Sites and the resources that you access (Log Information), name, address, phone number, and email address, log-in and password details, any communication concerning the use of our services, financial information, information from promotions/competitions, information you post on our website in form of reviews, photos and descriptions of your property.
• Location information. If you are a Pro, we may also use GPS or equivalent technology to determine your current location. Some of our location-enabled Services require your personal data for the feature to work. If you wish to use the particular feature, you will be asked to consent to your data being used for this purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at hello@homyze.com.
• Information we receive from other sources (Third Party Information). We are working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies) and may receive information about you from them.
• E-mail Communications: To help us make e-mails more relevant to you, we often receive a confirmation when you open e-mails from us if your computer or device supports such capabilities. We also compare our customer list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our Users. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us there will be an option to unsubscribe on the email message.
• If you contact us, We may keep a record of that correspondence. Unique application numbers: when you install or uninstall a Service containing a unique application number or when such a Service searches for automatic updates, that number and information about your installation, for example, the type of operating system, may be sent to us.

PAYMENT SERVICE PROVIDER

Our payment processing provider is currently Stripe, Inc. When you use its payment service, Stripe, Inc collects a range of information from you. The details of that information, the uses to which it is put, and the disclosures made of it are detailed in Stripe’s own Privacy Policy available here.

COOKIES

We use cookies to distinguish you from other users of the App or Site. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you use the App or browse any of the sites and also allows us to improve the App and Our sites.

USES MADE OF THE INFORMATION

We use information held about you in the following ways

• Submitted Information: To provide you with Homyze Products and Services . For billing, identification and authentication and fraud prevention purposes. To send you information we think you may find useful or which you have requested from us, including receipt of marketing communications such as our periodic newsletter, provided that you have indicated you are happy to be contacted for these purposes; for billing, identification and authentication and fraud prevention purposes
• Device information: For internal market research. troubleshooting problems, and detecting and protecting against error, fraud or other criminal activity;
• Content Information: to analyse website usage and improve our services/product to contact you and deliver administrative notices, and communications relevant to your use of our product and services. For internal market research . troubleshooting problems, and detecting and protecting against error, fraud or other criminal activity;
• Log information: Marketing research
• Location information: If you are a Pro, to allow Us and Work Requesters to locate you and track your location in the provision of services to the Work Requester.
• Third Party Information: with your consent, for distribution to third-party contractors that provide services to the Company and partners of the Company who are bound by privacy restrictions at least as restrictive as those set forth in this Policy.
• We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers or marketing partners, but We may provide third parties with anonymous aggregate information about our users (for example, We may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of the personal data We have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.

USE OF COOKIES

Cookies are unique identifiers that we transfer to your device to enable our systems to recognize your device and to provide product features, personalised advertisements on other websites, and to remember your Work Requests (if you are a User) or jobs (if you are a Pro) between visits.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We may disclose some or all of the data we collect from you when you download or use the App to the following third parties:

We may disclose your personal information (including your full name, address, email address and phone number) to our Tradespeople in order for them to perform the required services as outlined in your Work Request. We may also disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006.
We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

• In the event that We sell or buy any business or assets, in which case We may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
• If Homyze Ltd or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its users will be one of the transferred assets.
• If We are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation or request.
• In order to:
• enforce or apply Our Terms of Use (https://www.homyze.com/terms), and other agreements or to investigate potential breaches; or
• protect the rights, property or safety of Homyze Ltd our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
• If you request an introduction to any person;
• If you provide any feedback or comment on our service or the services provided by any Pro, we may reproduce that on our website and social media platforms. This may identify you personally as being the source of the comment, or (if you are a Pro) the subject of the comment.

Homyze may appoint third party companies and individuals as data processors to perform functions on our behalf. In such situations, we may provide your personal information to such data processors in order for them to assist us in providing you with services. In some circumstances we may need to share personal data with such data processors in advance of you requesting a specific service, for instance so that the data processor can contact you regarding services that are within your membership package but to which you may not have signed up. The information shared with data processors may include your name, email address, phone number and postal address. Our data processors will only have access to the data needed to allow them to make our services available to you and will only use your personal data for this purpose.

WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The data that We collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. These staff may be engaged in the fulfilment of your request, order or reservation, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions carried out by us or our chosen third-party provider of payment processing services will be encrypted Secure Protocol (HTTPS) using an SSL certificate. Where We have given you (or where you have chosen) a password that enables you to access certain parts of Our Sites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although We will do our best to protect your personal data, We cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to Our Sites; any transmission is at your own risk. Once We have received your information, We will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Homyze will always endeavour to ensure the security and privacy of any information provided to us.
During transmission, your information is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS) and we only make available the last four digits of your credit card when confirming any payment transaction.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if We intend to use your data for such purposes or if We intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms We use to collect your data. You can also exercise the right at any time by contacting us at hello@homyze.com.
Our Sites may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates (including, but not limited to, websites on which the App or the Services are advertised). If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites and any services that may be accessible through them have their own privacy policies and that We do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies or for any personal data that may be collected through these websites or services, such as contact and location data. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites or use these services.
Homyze operates internationally. As such, we may need to send your information to locations outside the UK, and outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example to Australia and the USA. In doing so, Homyze will always endeavour to protect your data to the standard that you would expect of a UK company.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with that Act and may include the right to:

• access your personal information
• require us to correct any mistakes in your information which we hold
• require the erasure of personal information concerning you in certain situations
• receive the personal information concerning you which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format
• object at any time to processing of personal information concerning you for direct marketing
• object to decisions being taken by automated means which produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you
• object in certain other situations to our continued processing of your personal information
• otherwise restrict our processing of your personal information in certain circumstances

KEEPING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

HOW TO COMPLAIN

Homyze will always attempt to resolve any query or concern you raise about our use of your information.

CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

Any changes We may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail or when you next start the App. The new terms may be displayed on-screen and you may be required to read and accept them to continue your use of the App or the Services.
